Programming in C

Hi,
Im trying to solve a particular program.It is as follows:
There is an excel sheet containing the list of 20 people and their birthdays.I also do have a Group Id(having all the 20 people).Now Im trying to write a code which scans through the xl sheet to check if any of those people’s birthday falls today & in case there is a match, an email saying “Happy Birthday” must be sent to the group id so that every on e knows about it.
COuld anyone help me out with a simple code?
