Project 2000 Versus Project 98

Recently I upgraded a system that had Project 98 on it with Project 2000.
The users states says that
first, all the week are off by about a week.
second, when she drags a project from Wednesday to Thursday in the same week the week change. Example Week 12 becomes Week 13 in the middle of the week.
I have looked for some kind of setting but I am not familiar with Project 98 or 2000.
Any help would be appreciated.
