Protect XL data on import to word

I wish to insert a Word page break “0C” character in an XL field so that when imported to Word I have a pagebreak. However the character is converted to “20” on import which does nothing for me. I want to preserve the table formatting so simply selecting the Paste Special doesn’t work. I’m sure there is an escape character or sequence I can use before the “0C” but cannot find it anywhere. Help please?
