Random Duplicate Email

My boss keeps getting duplicate email in Outlook 2002. Everyone has leave on server checked in the office….but he is the only one getting the problem. Also, the problem seems to disappear for a month or so then…….starts back up again. I heard it might be a “Last Message on Server” file corruption….but I have no idea what the file is or what to do about it.
