Reformatting Access 2000 DB

I am a volunteer in an organization that has everything in one table, (created a long time ago.) I would like to create relational tables to improve efficiency but fear losing stored data. Is there a way to have the data migrate to its new table?Example: There is information about membership’s automobiles, I would like to eliminate automobile information from the only table to a “Automobile” table.
