Regarding Outlook emails

Outlook apparently stores email addresses that I have used in the past but never saved to the contacts list. How do I get these out of the outlook memory? Some are wrong addresses, or they are old or dated. I still want Outlook to suggest names in memory but i need to get rid of these old ones that are NOT in the contact list.
