I am using Roxio Cd Creator 5 Platinum with the latest updates. I am also running Win XP.
here’s how it goes: I have a music album 70 minutes in length as one uncut track (I work with many of these). I take that track and use Sound Forge 6 to cut this track into about 10-12 single tracks. These single tracks are saved as .wav files. I then use Roxio to write these files to a cd. now, the hardware being used is a 16x LTR cd-rw drive. By choosing the disc-at-once write method I am able to write these music tracks to a cd WITHOUT ANY DELAY BETWEEN TRACKS. I have just installed a samsung 48x drive that supports roxio cd creator and is win XP compatible – stated right on the box. Since installing the new drive and performing the sameprocess I can no longer eliminate the delay between tracks. I have uninstalled and reinstalled platinum ? same problem. I have unistalled platinum and installed creator basic that came with the drive ? same problem. I have used three different media types ? same problem. I have slowed the write speed down to 8x ? same problem. I have used several different files ? same problem. I have also tried all of this on a 48x Artec cd-rw drive. I haven?t yet formatted the hard drive to start fromscratch but at this point that is the only other thing I can think of trying. I would like to avoid this option if at all possible ? I?m sure most would agree.
Any ideas?
