Removing Microsoft Word 2000 SR-1

I installed Microsoft Word 2000 onto my computer. Then I installed the Word 2000 SR-1 patch. I started having problems with Word, so I uninstalled it. The SR-1 patch did not uninstall. When you go to Add/Remove Programs, it WILL NOT remove it.And I cannot reinstall Word 2000 with this patch still on there. It keeps telling me that the patch package could not be opened. And keep in mind that this happens when I try to install Word 2000. I have looked everywhere for the SR-1 file to delete it or something, but have had no luck. Can someone please help me to get this stupid patch off of my system so I can reinstall Word 2000? Thank You!
