Removing Office License Key (Legal)

Before I get flamed for hacking, let me explain my situation. We in the IT department here have an image to load our PCs quickly. We have legal licenses for all of our copies of Office XP.

We want to be able to run Office Update on the image PC and then wipe the key off to put the proper license key on each computer, rather than taking 1-2 hours updating every PC (about 300). We have not found a way to do this yet, so any suggestions will be very welcome.

If I need to clarify anything, please post back and I will do my best.
