retrieving http mail from OE6.0

After upgrading from OE5 to OE6.0, I can no longer retrieve my http mail. OE6 gave me the following error message:
Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account: ‘http://mail.aec-aircon.com:8089’, Server: ‘http://mail.aec-aircon.com:8089’, Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response: ‘Not Implemented’, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC3E

Is there some setting in OE6 that I should disable?
