Rules wiz or out of office does not work

Hi Guys

Hope you can help, I have a problem applying a rule or activating the out of office assistant using outlook 2000 (I have applied all service packs). My PC is connected via a lan and none of the other clients have a problem. When I try to activate the out of office assistant or apply a rule it does not seem to work, If you send an email to this particular inbox you get no auto reply even though I set it up using the out of office, why is this? I have tried all I can think. I have totally fdisked the PC and started from scratch but the issue still remains, I have even deleted all the profiles incase the PST file was corrupt but this does not make a difference. If any one can offer any solutions I would really appreciate it
