Saving and reusing animated GIF

How do I first save and then reuse an animated GIF received with a message in Outlook. When I try to do this I:
1. select the image
2. right click and select “Save Picture as…”
The only option I have at this point is a BMP file rather than a GIF file.
What should I be doing to save the GIF?
How do I insert the GIF in another message?
