Search XML Files

I am looking for good open source software that can search a bunch of xml files using pattern based, deductive reasoning instead of just simple word matching. In other words, the search tool needs to have some amount of natural language processing built in, to produce good results. I have over 2000 well-formed xml files that I need to quickly search. XQuery syntax gives me a lot of unnecessary results in addition to relevant results. Any suggestions?
