Send email with script or batch file?

I am looking for a way to automatically send emails with attatchments. I would like to run this off of a floppy and have it automatically goto a specific path, grab a couple of .txt files and email it off to me. Since the pc’s that I need this to run on are in several different geographical places I guess I need it to just grab any SMTP server and fire off the email to me. Is this possible with a script or batch file or some other little program thats around? I dont know if it makes a difference but the pc’s are all windows 2000 or xp based.
