send/receive via dial-up

laptop configured for dial up mail retreival outlook2002 exch.svr5.5. when i dial in to pull my mail, i still have the same old mail showing up in my personal folder on my next connection. this lap top is one of several that are configured the sameway i have double checked settings and checked technet.the lap top is not set up for offline just mail retreival and sending
any assistance would be appreciated
