SMTP client for linux?

Hi, I have Exchange 2000 running and I was
wondering if I can get my mail from it when I’m on
linux.

I haven’t been able to find an SMTP client that I
can use.

Does anyone know of a program out there that has
send/receive capability with Exchange?

I also heard that there could be a work around if I
set up POP3 on my server and then access that
from my linux box. I’m not sure how to go about that
exactly.

If anyone has any suggestions, it’ll help me a lot!
