spooler

I recently installed software from my dsl service provider, and when I “opened” it after install a program “spooler.exe” attemped to access the internet. I stoped it thru the firewall, and blocked “it” future access.
I was under the impression that the spooler was
memory used by the printer when it does’t have
any memory of it’s own.
I have since uninstalled the software, it didn’t
have anything I really needed or wanted. the dsl
works just fine without it.
I don’t think I have any viruses as the machine scans clean and definations are updated.
