SQL Server 2000 to 2005 – no go

Well, we are trying to upgrade from SQL server 2000 to SQL server 2005. the only problem is, we can’t copy the data from one server to the other. Does anyone know how to copy a database from a box with 2000 to a box with 2005? thanks.
