Stop number appearing in memo field

Hi

I have a user who has constructed a simple database in Access 2000. The last three fields in the database are number, number, memo.

What happens is that if “1” is entered in the first number field, then “2” is entered in the second number field, when the focus is shifted to the memo field, a “3” will be automatically inserted.

The user would like to know how this can be stopped. I know very little about Access
and would appreciate any help you can give me.
