Store.exe 100% CPU utilization

My exchange 5.5 server’s store.exe is using up 100% of CPU and all available memory. This is installed on an NT 4.0 server and all are SP4 patched. This all began after installing veritas backup exec 9.0 and while the first backup was being run, then cancelled after 36 hours.
