Survpro

by blackcurrant . Updated 21 years, 4 months ago

Hi

Anyone here use National Survey Software’s (NSS) Survpro? It’s an old piece of surveying software you can load onto a datalogger to record readings taken by a theodolite/EDM. The second half of it resides on a PC and processes the data recorded by the datalogger and produces CAD drawings from it.

I have a problem.

Support for Survpro was withdrawn several years ago and development of the product stopped. I currently have it installed on a Win 3.11 machine. In fact, the only reason we have the Win 3.11 computer is because it is the only computer that will run Survpro.

What I would like to do is move Survpro over to a Win2000 or WinXP machine. However, every time I try to install and run it, nothing happens. Ziltch, Nada,

So, I was wondering if anyone here still uses this product, and if so, can they give me a few pointers on how I may set it up to run on a modern PC.

I know we can buy ‘modern’ surveying software, but this program is so good it’s worth keeping.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Thanks
