I have a email account and use outlook to send and download mail via POP3. I use the Email ISP account to send email but generally use a different ISP to download (free during evenings etc. My OS is WINXP PRo and I have a Zonealarm Pro firewall.
I encounter the following error when sending email via the email ISP dial up ” A TCP/IP error occurred while trying to send data to the server
(Account:’pop3.skynow.net’,SMTP server:’smtp.skynow.net’, Error number:
0X800CCC13).” I am connected to the ISP and it does download email but just fails to send.
I have a bluetooth phone and have loaded in the ISP no. and settings I and am able to connect to the ISP through my phone and send and receive email which is baffling. On another note if I recreate the email ISP dial up it does send email once before reverting back to the error.
One final point I am having issues connecting to certain web pages via any ISP e.g I can connect to the ebay / techrepublic homepage but can’t login to my account or carry out searches, for which I am posting another question,
Please help as this is getting very infuriating after having already spent many hours trying to fix.
