unable to join a windows2000 client to windows 2000 domain

previously my system ( win2000 pro)is connected to domain controller, but due to some reasons i disjoined the win 2000 pro from domain.
but when i am trying to rejoin the system
win2000 pro to domain it is showing that
it could not find any domain.
please helpme in solving this issue
