Veiwing ‘New Record’ number in InfoPath

I have an Access 2003 database which our staff access via InfoPath. Up until now when a new record was created they have not needed to know what the unique identifier created with that entry is. As I expand my less paper office I need them to know as they enter the record what that identifier is. So when they click on ?New Record? it will clear the fields except the ID field which Access2003 would normally generate when the ?Submit? button is pressed.

As Access 2003 hasn?t created it yet I?m at a loss as to how to generate it?.if you see what I mean?
