What is a SIS port driver? Is it safe?

As I turned my pc on this morning I was welcomed by the “Found New Hardware Wizard” asking me to install SIS Port Driver which I have no idea what it is.I do not belong to the wise people of the computers, so any help is greatly appreciated. I have not downloaded anything like that myself, unless it downloaded by itself! Thanks in advance.
