Attached below is a header from an email which was “bounced back” to me due to what I believe is a mail server problem. What concerns me about this, is the fact that embedded into this header is a line calling up an email account that is in fact a valid email account in my domain, but should have absoloutely no connection to this message.
The very first line of the header is the mystery to me. This is a valid user on my LAN and in our domain but how does it get here???
Header as follows:
X-POP-User: daisy.norcanfluidpower.com
X-Envelope-From: myaccount@norcanfluidpower.com
Return-Path:
Received: from kenparsons (xxxxx-xxxxx-adsl.norcanfluidpower.com [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] (may be forged))
