When opening XLS doucments

I have a user that is running Excel 97 and when she double clicks a document to open it up, she get this error.

“A document with the name .xls is already open. You cannot open two documents with the same name, even ifthe document are in differnt folders.”

Any assistance would be appreciated. OS is W2K SP3.
