where is the show desktop icon?

My quick launch toolbar lost the icon for show desktop. In Win 98, I used to be able to just search for “desktop”.
Now I have Win XP, and cant locate it anywhere, it seems.

Is this button available anywhere in the hard drive? If so, where, so Ican make anotehr shortcut?
