Will Access and ASP work for me?

I am about to start to redesign our company’s
website. We want to make it dynamic and pull
content and images from a database. Trying
to keep costs down, I am looking at using
Access for the database with ASP. Does this
sound like a good idea? We would also like to
build a searchable catalog, in the future.
Would Access work for this? Is it the best way
to go.

I am very new to this dynamic stuff and would
appreciate any comments.

I develop on a Mac and would have to use a
PC for the Access.
