will win Vista work like a client machine like XP successfuly

hey as we all know the hot new product of microsoft Win Vista has been launched and its been promoted at a very large scale but it might take some time to get to the peak as win XP home and pro both have reached so i m concerned that will windows vista be able to replace win XP as the client machine in an ideal network.
