Win XP Fonts

Hi. feel kinda silly asking this question but I need to know. I have a new pentium4 pc running winxp prof. serv. pk 2. where (pls. tell me) is the setting within windows to change the fonts?
for instance, I want to set my font for when ever or where ever I type – it’ll be my selected choice. (just like in office) I wanna set my font as default … so, where is the setting for that?? thx.
