Windows XP Search not finding files…..

XP Search is not finding files when searching for text within a file…ive searched techrepublic and microsoft knowledge base for answers.

i noted that the .ext has to be listed in the file types otherwise the XP search will miss it. This is definitely the case here – does anyone else know of any other issues or the correct procedure to add the file type when doing the search?
