Windows XP Strange Right Click function

HI all

windows XP SP2.

Ive suddenly started have problems when i right click on a file. Nothing crash or anything like that (I’ve seen that problem reported elsewhere). whats happening is this.

I right click on a folder and all the normal and extra context functions show up. I right click on a file and i only get the standard windows options. ie no compression options from winrar or any of the other things i have that normally show up when i right click a file. as i’ve said, when i right click a folder everything seems ok

any ideas?
