I installed InterVideo WinDVD 2.1 from the CD we received from Dell and I also installed the InterActual Player that came bundled with the commercial DVD. When I try to play the DVD I get an error message that says, “Playback failed due to a problem with the video subsystem”. I visited the Interactual web site and the information on the site indicates that there is no DVD decoder installed. Isn?t WinDVD a decoder? I tried re-booting, re-installing a number of times with the same result. I called Dell but they will not offer support on software issues since it has been more that 30 days since the systems were purchased.
