winword.exe has generated errors

I am running Win2k pro and have a user that gets the above error when clicking on hyperlinks in word documents. We are at SP3 with office. We have uninstalled and re-installed office, deleted the normal.dot, recreated the users profile, reinstalled printer drivers, he has even had a new pc, but still gets the errors. He has Adobe acrobat 5 reader. Other users also get this error when using the hyperlinks, but they can be different hyperlinks in different documents.
If anyone has any further ideas i would be grateful of some assistance.
