Word 2002 printing issue.

I have a user with a 933Mhz, 384MB RAM Gateway Performance PC. She is running XP Pro with Office XP SB Edition. When she prints a document from Word, her normal routine (she is a transcriptionist) is to type “ALT”, “I”, “F” to insert a file into the document. Problem is the insert file dialogue comes up but is blank. If she types, nothing appears until the document finishes printing. Then, everything she typed appears. We have changed drivers, set BIOS options, set XP to best perfomance, let windows manage the page file, installed SP 1 & 2 for Office, but nothing helps. I cannot find anything on this. Any help would be great.
