Word 97 – font color doesn’t display

Hi, I’m having a strange problem – when I copy and paste the header of our company letterhead, which is supposed to be in red, it comes out black on my screen. When I go to Format>Font it says that it is in red, but it still doesn’t show up in red,even when I do Print Preview. This only recently started happening, and I wonder if there’s some setting that inadvertantly got changed. Any ideas?
