Word cannot save to network drive

Hi

I have a user on my network who is unable to get Word 2000 to save to a network drive.

When a save is attempted the error: ‘The save failed due to out of memory or disk space’ is displayed.

This error occurred recently and I discovered that the user had only 160MB free space on the C drive (using a Win98 machine). I uninstalled unused programs and deleted temp files to create 650MB free space and created a static page file of 250MB from this.

I also ran scandisk with a full surface check and defragmented the drive.

The network drive has 11GB free space, and resides on a file server running Win2k Server with Small Business Server 2k. The file server is functioning as it should. Other Win98 machines with a lower spec are able to save without any problems.

This error occurred again today. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
