Word – Document Map font size gone wonky

by ab6 . Updated 23 years, 7 months ago

I use Document Map extensively. On my home machine (WinXP, OfficeXP), my daughter fiddled with the keyboard and just after that (not sure if it’s related) the text in the Document Map shrunk to unreadably small. I hope she changed a setting, but I can’t find it.

Problem: The text in Document looks like about 4pt. Also, it scales as you enlarge the Document Map frame. It’s not supposed to do that. The font size is supposed to be static.

I rebooted a few times.

I tried changing the font size on the Document Map style – 72 point makes it visible (“looks” like about 12 point) BUT the + – toggles to expand and collapse the sections remain the size of a period.

I tried a reinstall/repair of Office.
I tried an uninstall/reinstall of Word.
I deleted Normal.dot.

Oh, and I searched help and the MS KB. MS has almost no help on Document Map and the KB has 0 hits on Document Map. 🙁
