One of my computers has WordPerfect Suite 10 installed. The computer is Windows 2000 with all latest service packs and connected to a Netware 6 file server. I am running netware client 4.8. When you start WordPerfect, it hangs on the splash screen for 5 to 20 minutes before starting. It will eventually open but when working it is also very slow. I tried uninstalling WP Suite 10 and installing WP Suite 11. WP 11 did the stame thing. All other apps in the suite (Quatro Pro, etc.) work fine. I have uninstalled WP11 and reinstalled WP10 & still have the problem. As a further twist, I have discovered that if I unplug the patch cable from the NIC card to the network, Word Perfect runs fine and I don’t have these problems. The install is local, not on the network. No other computers on the network are having this problem. Also no other applications on this computer are having problems. I have already tried all the following:
1. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the Word Perfect software.
2. Have tried plugging the computer in at another station with a different patch cable that is working fine to rule out any cabling issues between the computer and server.
3. Have tried replacing the NIC card.
4. Have run multiple virus scans both locally and on the server.
5. Have checked for any spyware software, etc.
6. Tried starting WP with Antivirus software disabled.
7. Tried installing all Wordperfect Service packs.
Help Please.
