WorkPlace

The laptop has a dual boot with win 98 and 2000, and am getting the error message: “ActiveX component cannot create object” when trying to open WorkPlace on this laptop

I have already tried the ff:

1. Re-instal the workplace.
2. Updating I.E on the laptop to IE5.5 SP2
3. Re-instal Win2000 over the old one
4. Instal Win2000 on a new directory all together

All the above could not solve the problem.
I will appreciate any form of help.
