Yahoo! Messenger Not accepting my mail i

I have the above id in yahoo, and I am using e-mail very frequently. But to my surprise, my yahoo messenger is not accepting the password I was using. Why? What should I do for Messenger work, because I am loosing my contacts. It may be helpful if anyone answer this question, by way of – WHY THE PASSWORD NOT WORKING, WHETHER THE PASSWORD WILL BE THE SAME OF AS E-MAIL ID, HOW CAN I GET A NEW PASSWORD FOR MESSENGER ALONE, send me the answer through my email id also, so that I can suggest the same way for other personalities also.
