Hi everyone,
As you may know, with all the current hype about the 1GHz processor, I have been requested to build a system containing one. The problem that I am having is as follows:
I can’t find a stable, trustworthy motherboard to support a P-III Slot 1 800MHz to 1000MHz processor.
I have looked at the Tyan Tiger 133 S1834D, but only to be somewhat confused and discouraged by the reviews about problems and compatibility issues such as “slow USB”.
The ideal motherboard would be using an
Intel Chipset, a SLOT 1 interface, SDRAM (not that expensive RAMBUS), and would be very reliable!
The only boards I can seem to find are all FCPGA, which I am not crazy about!
If you know any motherboards that use an Intel Chipset, a Slot 1 interface, SDRAM, and are quite reliable to run an 800MHz to 1GHz P-III processor under Windows 98, please post a reply! Thank you very much!
Thanks again,
