2 Installations of Win XP Pro

A few weeks ago, I got a virus on my computer and (long story short) formatted my hard drive and reinstalled XP Pro. Somehow, not sure how, I installed it on the E drive (I have two hard drives, one is partitioned). Shortly afterwards, I did a fresh install and now XP Pro is on the C drive. Problem is, every time I boot or turn on the machine, I now have two options upon boot up, either the 2nd installation of XP on the C drive or the 1st installation of XP on the e drive. What I would liketo do is remove the XP directory off of my E drive but I’m afraid of what might happen if I simply delete it. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so, could u please recommend to me steps to fix it.
