2000 server permissiona

I am trying to use a 2000 server on a NT network. I used robocopy to move a directory from an NT Server to 2000 server. The rights appear to have transfered properly, but I can not see any of the groups on the domain that aren’t defau;t groups, but I can see the users. Do I have a service turned on I don’t need or one I need to turn on, or is there anything else that can help the situation.
