2nd (backup) domain controller?

I currently have 1 one server which serves as the DC, file server and exchange server. I have a second server (old server fromk previous ooffice location) which I just assume utilize. I would like to make it a backup DC, or actually a second DC since I understand BDC don’t exist in a w2k enviroment.

My questions?

1. How would this help in the event the primary server went down?

2. Would I need DNS installed on the 2nd DC?

3. How would I config this server to be the 2nd DC?

4. I’d also like to create redundancy for my exchage server and data, any thoughts?
