a simple problem in startup

I encountered the following error message after giving my login & passwd in WIN NT4.0:
The process cannot switch to the startup current directory c:\ select OK to set current directory to C:\WINNT or select CANCEL to exit.
Either I press OK or CANCEL its hanging Can anyone suggest some solution.
