About GreenAV fake antispyware

My laptop was infected with this two months ago. It started up when Windows did, gave me pop-ups every 30 seconds, etc..I looked up instructions to remove it and followed them. After that it no longer showed up in any extensive search, in pop-ups, etc..But the GreenAV icon is still attatched to many apps on my desktop. I haven’t had any trouble running the computer, but I am nervous about the fact that new apps I download show up on my desktop with this icon attatched. I would appreciate any input on this. Thanks!
