Access 2000

I have some forms i am designing in Access 2000.They have quantity fields and i am trying to get my table to update if the same specs are entered. i have material type, size and core type and if these are the same i would like the table to combine them. i am also trying to figure out how to get my form to have and add function for inventory and debit function. Please respond with any feedback. Thank you
