Access 97, print range over 3 characters

I’m working on an NT 4.0 machine with SP6a installed and using Access 97. The problem is inserting a page range that is over 3 characters. Access stops after the third character and will not accept any more. I’ve been able to print on a 95 & 98 machine with no problem. I started out on SP5 and added the latest SP hoping for the best. No luck. The only work around i’ve found is to create a macro, but there has to be a fix, regedit ?, around some where. Also , it is not limited to one machine. I’ve tested four other similar NT machines with the same results.
